About our hiking tour to Dois Irmãos
A short walk of around 90 minutes (round trip) takes us to the summit of Dois Irmãos [Two Brothers Hill], which is located along the coast of the city and separates the south zone of Rio from the west zone.
From there you have stunning views of many of Rio’s beaches including Ipanema, Arpoador, and Pepino as well as views of Tijuca Forest. Both on the outgoing and return trip, we shall stop of at strategic points to take photos of Vidigal favela in addition to telling the history of the favela.
For those seeking a little more adventure we suggest climbing the favela by motorcycle until the beginning of the Dois Irmãos trail and then descending on foot, stopping at various places to photograph the daily life of the Vidigal favela.
