About our River Rafting tour in Rio de Janeiro
River rafting known also as white water rafting is an adventure sport which use an inflatable boat to navigate rivers. This is often done on rivers with different degrees of rough water, and generally represents a challenging environment for paddlers.
Not many people know but it is possible to go white water rafting in a town only 120 kilometres from Rio de Janeiro. As well as being very enjoyable the experience is also an excellent opportunity for some exercise.
The average length of the course is 7 km, and has various rapids which range from levels 2-4. Furthermore, the lush green vegetation surrounding the river is a prime example of Atlantic rainforest, which has been extremely well preserved and offers the opportunity for observing various species of tropical birds. And the best part? No previous experience is necessary! Make the most of your opportunity to get to know this sport!
